Thank You For Your Service
To each of the men and women in EE with service at some
point in their past in one branch or another of the U.S.
military, thank you again for your service. |
No Mail Today
There will be no mail delivery on Monday. But trash
will be picked up on the regular schedule. |
Wednesday Night Movie
This week's movie is Walk the Line, a
chronicle of the life of music legend Johnny Cash. The show will
begin at 7:00 PM in the Ramada. Thanks to Jane
and Eric Ellingson for
sponsoring this event, and thanks to Al
and Judy Prado for
lending this and some other movies. |
Ramada Safety Improved
Thanks to Greg Gramstad for fixing the sunken
pavers near the trash gate which were creating an unsightly trip
hazard. |
Book Group
The Book Discussion Group will meet on Tuesday,
November 13 at 1:00 PM in the Ramada to discuss Pavilion
of Women by Pearl Buck. Lynn Theder will
lead the discussion. New members are always welcome to join the
discussion. |
EE Pickleball
The new season has started with play starting at 8:30
AM every day except Fridays at the courts on
Circulo del Sur. Anyone from EE is welcome to play. If you
need instruction, Greg Gramstad will
be happy to help you. Come out and play, it's a great game. |
Planning for Winter Weather
Hundred degree days may still be fresh in our memories, but
chilly nights are in the forecast for the coming week. So it's
time to start digging out those frost cloths to cover your
plants when the temperature dips below freezing. And take a look
at your pipe insulation to make sure it's still in good shape. |
EE Artisans Workshop
The group members will try their hands at decorating
flowerpots on Thursday, November 15, at 1:00 PM at the
Ramada. Preparatory work will take place at Barbara
Copeland's house (1011 Calle Regalo) on
Tuesday, November 13, at 1:00 PM. If you can't attend
the Tuesday session and need to do the work at home, you should
spray the inside of a terracotta pot with waterproof sealant,
paint the outside of the pot with white paint, and bring the pot
to the Thursday session. Thanks to Linda Welsh for
suggesting the project. Contact Barbara at
(952-250-6716) if you have any questions. Everyone is
invited to attend the workshop. |
Board Meeting
The EEHOA Board will meet next Monday, November
19, at 1:00 PM at the Ramada. All residents are
welcome to attend. |
Attention EE Artisans
It's time to start preparing for EE's annual Arts & Crafts
Sale on Saturday, December 1, from 10:00 AM to noon at
the Ramada. The sale will be open to the public, so it's a good
way to give your creations wide exposure. To reserve a table,
contact Marla Ries at gvmarlaries@gmail.com. |
Board of Directors Election - We Need YOU!
From Board Secretary and Nominating Committee Chair Ken
Lindeman:
Help somebody, help the community of Esperanza Estates by
running for the HOA Board. You are needed to fill a
position on the Board. We have two hats in the ring for
three positions. Another candidate and we can vote like we
do for judges. Two more candidates and we can have an
election.
The community is made up of 350 residences. If we average 1
person per residence, we have 350 people eligible to run for
3 positions on the board. I don't want to believe this
community is made up of the "silent" majority, but my phone
sure has been silent this past week. Please, let's have a
few people step up to assist in governing and making this
community the best we can be. Call me, Ken Lindeman, at
970-577-3395 and get your name on the ballet. Time is fast
running out as I will need to get the ballots in the mail
right after Thanksgiving. People- this should not be this
hard to volunteer.

From EE President Dave Sielken
Nancy Ferguson has decided to step down from her role on the
Hospitality Committee. We want to thank Nancy for her
service and the many fun events that she organized.
The committee is free to organize their new leadership.
Please let the Board and the community know what that is!
